Betting on Sports using the professional skills of a good “Handicapper” is making sure that “Lady Luck” runs on your side. The skills that make us professional “Handicappers” good or great will become known to you as your returns increase. A good, professional “Handicapper” will know their sports inside and out, we look, we listen, we read, we learn and we bet, we do this on a full time basis, saving you the time and due diligence necessary for you to have success with your bets. As in life, business, etc., the list goes on forever; there is always the gambling factor versus the knowledge of having all the tools available to make an informed decision.
Tips to Remember Before Making Your Wager: 1. Betting on a team that is an extreme favorite is not worth the money you risk to win very little. An example would be if you are wagering on NHL and you pick Detroit to win against Columbus and the moneyline is -300 this means that you have to risk $300 to make $100, it just isn’t worth the risk. Detroit will probably be playing their back-up goalie and they may be over confident that they will win, yet we still see people making the line move everyday on bets just like this, it’s just not worth the risk and it will damage your bankroll in a hurry. 2. If you have favorite teams in a sport then try to refrain from betting on them because you will probably be betting with your heart and not your head. 3. Do not try to make up for your losses on one game. This is a big mistake which we see people make all the time. When someone loses on Sunday and tries to make up for it on Monday with one bet, this normally puts them into a bigger hole on a Monday night and this we call chasing your losses on a “for sure bet”. 4. There is no such thing as a “for sure bet” because any team can beat anyone on a given night and this is why there are upsets which “Handicappers” who know their business see the outcome of these games and capitalize on it. 5. Avoid making wagers on parlays; doing so is like trying to make a boat out of paper “it just sinks”. If you stick with the straight bets you will find your bankroll will be thankful in the long run. A good parlay technique I sometimes see people use is to parlay against their 3 or 4 straight bets which actually does make sense just in-case you ever go 0-3 or 0-4 the loss is a minimum. 6. Never bet a large amount of games at one time. You should pick and choose your games that will give you the best rewards for the lowest risk. Never bet more than 3-4 games on a given day. I personally like to pick my best 1-3 games and bet those since I almost always profit with my top picks. 7. The best way for the average sports enthusiast to make money betting is to find a good Sports Service “Handicapping” site and purchase their picks as we make our living from betting on sports and helping people beat the odds. We do all of the research and spend hours each day breaking down the games talking to sources and watching line movements to give you the Sports Bettor a huge advantage over the Sportsbooks. 8. When purchasing picks from a Sports Service make sure you bet on exactly what we give you with the proper number of units that we provide since money management is the most important factor when placing a wager. Make sure the Sports Service has their picks documented somewhere that is liable and avoid all of the Sports Services that give out ridiculous dream plays like 10,000* Locks etc as these are not real Sports Services and they are just out to get your money. 9. The biggest tip of all is to never wager more than what you can afford to lose. Using me as your Sports Service “Handicapper” will allow you to feel more at ease with your betting knowing that I’m working on your behalf. Wanting you to win! I make my living from you winning, this is my livelihood. A great “Handicapper” will also place bets on their own selections. At “VernonCroy.com”, I have been working on your side with “Lady Luck” to bring you the informed answers to your questions of what teams to pick. I have been in the business of sports handicapping for many years and will continue to bring you the best possible plays for your Sports Wagering. You want to win……I need YOU to win! Vernon Croy |
