After a horrible Big Ten start, Minnesota is having a slow finish. The Golden Gophers opened 0-6 in the conference, then won six of nine, but are just 1-4 SU and ATS to close. The Gophers overall record of 15-16 is just one game behind Northwestern, who is 16-15. Scoring doesn’t come easy for either club, especially of late, where Minny is at 64.8 PPG in their past five outings and the Wildcats are at 68.6 PPG. Northwestern’s defense had played well recently in holding five conference foes to 40.4% shooting. I’ll look to back the ‘Cats who are 14-6 ATS away playing only their 2nd game in eight days and 4-0 off two consecutive setbacks.
