FRANK’S CUTTING ROOM FLOOR FOR FRIDAY, 5/3:

My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play I cut for Friday was with the Vegas Golden Knights with the money-line versus the Dallas Stars. Vegas (47-31-9) has been outplayed in this series when looking at the deeper analytics — but all three of their losses have been by only one goal. This is a veteran team with tons of playoff experience — and the last time they lost four games in a row in the postseason was in the Stanley Cup Finals in 2018 against Washington. The Golden Knights have won 5 of their last 8 games after losing three or more games in a row. They have also won 21 of their last 30 home games with the Total set at 5.5. Dallas (55-23-9) has won 15 of their last 19 games after their 3-2 victory at home on Wednesday — but they have lost 28 of their last 44 games after winning 15 or more of their last 20 games. The Stars go back on the road where they have lost 29 of their last 51 road games with the Total set at 5.5. Take Vegas with the money-line. Best of luck — Frank.

Vegas has gone from being in the driver seat after taking the first two games in Dallas to now being in a must win situation after losing 3 in a row and two on home ice. This game will be in Vegas but as the way this series started I am not sure that is  a good thing. Vegas has dropped 2 of the last three games 3-2 and their biggest problem in taking penalties and stupid ones at that. These teams are pretty even with Dallas averaging 3.54 goals to vegas 3.17on on the defensive end. Dallas is allowing 2.82 to Vegas’s 2.95. Oeetinger has played better after the first two games and seems to be in regular season frm It is not the the Vegas netmInders have been playing badly either but they have been bitten on killing off penalties. When this series started I thought it would go seven games… not the way it played out in the first four….and if that is to happen vegas will need to stay out of the box.  I cannot see vegas losing three on their home ice.

Play on Vegas. This is a free play!

As much as I believe that the Stars are the better team between these two teams, I find it very hard to believe that the Golden Knights will lose all three games at home in this series. They were dominant during the regular season at home, and I expect the crowd to be ready for tonight's "win or go home" Game 6.

In the regular season, the Golden Knights swept the series. Yes, the first two went past regulation, but that doesn't take away from the fact that they won. Vegas is also still an awesome 23-13 when trying to revenge an opponent from the previous game, despite being 0-2 in the playoffs. Dallas miraculously came back from down 2-0 in the series already. Expect more twists and turns before this one is over. Play on Vegas at home.

Score Prediction: 4-2 Vegas.
