Cincinnati you see for ages has let their backers down when in big game situations. The Bearcats already own a victory over the Knights going into Orlando on Feb. 5 and coming away on the right side 93-83 as an underdog of 3.5-points. This sets up perfect as the Queen City boys have won and covered the last five meetings and are in a perfect spot to let everybody down…everybody but ‘us’. (I hope) Take a CENTRAL FLORIDA!

Now, that is the first impression I had when I saw this price at -2.5. So my idea is to fade Houston…not so fast my friend (he still cracks me up Lee Corso). Tennessee is just a hair behind the Cougars keeping opponents shooting at a 38.5% and Houston the nation’s best at preventing shots and is just I/10th of a point better at 38.4%. Texas Tech received plenty of accolades during the season and have risen to this opportunity to get to the Final Four. Kansas City at Philadelphia 6:00 ET Chiefs over Eagles - Sunday night, Jan. 26, 11 PM ET - My first thoughts after watching Philadelphia crush Washington and the Chiefs doing their usual thing winning but not being overly impressive. two, one and a half, maybe two and a half…that’s the line I had posted in my head in the Super Bowl match-up. I had the right number but the wrong team, I was a bit taken back when it was Kansas City that was the favorite and not the Eagles. How could that be, the Eagles have blown out every opponent down the stretch and in the playoffs and they are the underdog after scoring 55 points to get there… Sunday night Feb. 2, 8 PM ET- Really, I still haven’t seen the kind of ‘action’ come in on the Eagles the way I had expected. From the moment my well respected peers and friends all want KC because the ‘line’ is backwards. I understand that but does the betting public. As of now the action have been steady and support has been split with a less then a 5% edge to Philadelphia. Truthfully, I am surprise and still waiting for the Eagles action… Monday, Feb. 3 - my former partner and loyal friend reminded me that back in early October he told me that the Chiefs would stink it out all year but win it all, and he roots against Mahomes because he’s a Brady fan and is afraid that the GOAT could lose his status. He he swears to me with utter conviction the Kansas City is the winner! Thursday, Feb 6 - Okay, I just did a podcast on Gamblersworld.net and received the selections and opinions from the most success sports bettors and handicappers in Las Vegas and they ALL like KC, Jim loves the coaching advantage, Sean believe s the ‘number’ is fishy and likes the Chiefs, Marc has a trend that say Chiefs, Scott has the Chiefs for $440,000 and even my man Wayne it gong ball-up on tribesman. Man, where is the Philly money? Friday, Feb 7 - I am going to post either tonight (Friday) or early Saturday. I am taking the Chiefs with the expectation of Eagles money soaring in on game day. I will NOT lay point with KC it is either money line or if some how Philadelphia going off the favorite then take the points. You see what my colleagues are saying is how I see the game as well. I don’t know how but in some way or fashion it is a 3-peat. Take KANSAS CITY! Saturday, Feb

Dallas at Philadelphia 7:00 ET Mavericks over 76ers - Well, from what I am hearing the Mavericks just made the worst trade in NBA history…we shall see. But, for right now newly acquired Anthony Davis will be playing while Luca Doncic will not. Every Dallas player has had to endure a media onslaught that now gives them no chance, this is a team that made it to the NBA Finals last season, be it with Doncic but there is still huge talent around to create problems. The Mav’s have dropped 13 of 19 but have had their wake up call off of a 144-101 beat down by Cleveland. Philadelphia has been making a playoff run believe it or not and they are without Embiid and George but just blew a 26-point late third quarter lead to Boston and lost 118-110. The Sixers are a bit disheartened they get out played here. Take DALLAS!

Atlanta at Detroit 7:00 ET Hawks (+) over Pistons - It’s a brave new world for the Pistons this season as the NBA’s worst in 2024 has worked their way over the breakwater mark and have a winning record this season. Atlanta is on an eight game bummer and part of the problem is the loss of one of their best players in Jalen Johnson who is out for the remainder of the season. The Hawks Trae Young was kept off of the All-star team despite of posting some of his best career numbers. Detroit has already won the two meetings this season and the Hawks had won the previous seven and now it is now the Hawks that will suck it up. Take ATLANTA!

LA Clippers at Toronto 3:30 ET Raptors (+) over Clippers- The Clippers come into Toronto having won their last two road games and four of five and will bring two former raptors stars from their lone championship season 2019. Kawhi Leonard and Norman Powell were key contributors with Leonard leaving for Los Angeles after one season. The Clippers won the only meeting this season at home in early November winning 105-103 as a 6-point favorite. Meanwhile, (sort of Rocky & Bullwinkle-ish) ‘Hokey Smoke’ Toronto just has just had a five game winning streak, their longest of the season, end in the ‘Great White North’ at the hands of Chicago 122-106 Friday night. The Raptors had won 7-of-8 before getting gored by the Bulls but are on the upswing as players are maturing on the floor while others are returning to action after stints on the injured list. But, this version has them among the leading scoring teams in the nation averaging 82 points per game which is 14 points better than their previous average. Northwestern is 10-2 SU at home and with this line that the bookies have posted gives them a fair chance to improve that record. But, I have down-graded it because of a recent downturn in College hoops. Illinois may be one of the most over-rated teams in the Big Ten but don’t tell that to the Cornhuskers who have dropped nine straight to the Fighting Illini. Nebraska was 12-2 at one point but have now lost their past six games with their last win coming against UCLA on January 4. It is time…take NEBRASKA!

The Crimson Tide have won six straight meetings and 9-of-10 against the Bulldogs who have lost three of the last five games. All three losses have come against a No. 6 Kentucky, a No. 4 Tennessee and a No. 1 Auburn. Last season they were 2-18, in conference play and 2-18 the year before that and the were 0-19 in season before that.they are currently 4-5 this season and have done it with defense going 14-6 to the UNDER. But, trouble can be ahead as St. John’s under Rick Pitino has their best record at 17-3 in 40 years. Mercedes-Benz Stadium Atlanta Notre Dame vs Ohio State 7:30 ET Fighting Irish (+) over Buckeyes- In late November the weekend that Notre Dame pounded the Army 49-14 and Ohio State lost 13-10 to Michigan I mentioned on the College Preview podcasts at Gamblersworld.net that the only way that OSU coach Sean Day can save his job after four straight losses to Michigan was to win the National Championship. I also stated that I thought the Fighting Irish were good enough to win it all. The Buckeyes’ claim had people that could still see them winning but I was scoffed at about the Notre Dame statement. These were not predictions just my personal feelings from my observations. So. now what, both of these clubs beat me last week (first time EVER losing a semi-final game) and now I’m supposed to have a feel for the winner, and I believe that I do! It’s all or nothing and neither of these clubs will be concerned with the number’ as the only thing that matters is winning the game there are no moral victories. You must win the game!
